We are District Council 26 (DC 26) of the International Union of
Painters & Allied Trades, or IUPAT, affiliate of the AFL-CIO, a labor union of 140,000 + men and women across the United States and Canada,
who are committed to providing the finest craftsmen and craftswomen in our trades. Our members work in the finishing trades as painters,
drywall finishers, wallcoverers, glaziers, sign makers, display workers, and in many more exciting occupations. We pride ourselves on our
professionalism and tradition of excellence, providing craft skills, plus safety
and health training for our members along with organizing these industries
and our political action efforts.
We strive to create a marketplace in which an
atmosphere of labor/management cooperation will enhance prosperity for union employers while, at the same time, ensuring job security,
safety, training, and excellent wages and benefits for our
